Your business journey to Net Zero: An invitation from UK Government

Are you a small business in the North of England who wants to take part in tackling climate change, but don’t know where to go from here? Then register for ‘Your business journey to Net Zero’!

In conjunction with the NP11 group of Northern Local Enterprise Partnerships, BEIS is holding “Your business journey to Net Zero”. The event will take place virtually on Friday 19th March from 09:40-16:20 and event content is aimed at small and medium-sized businesses in the North of England.

Your business journey to Net Zero will facilitate understanding of practical steps for SMEs who wish to embark on their own Net Zero journey; the event also seeks to help businesses consider the opportunities stemming from the transition to a low carbon economy. There will be multiple presentations and interaction with leaders on this subject. We are delighted to confirm that the Minister for Climate Change, Lord Callanan and the Government’s UK Net Zero Business Champion, Andrew Griffith MP, will be addressing the event.

In addition, there will be a virtual exhibition hall for delegates to find out about their Local Enterprise Partnership, along with more products and services that will be of interest to them as they look to lower their carbon emissions.

For more detail about the event and content, please go to the following site, which also includes registration details: http://bit.ly/3rzh55t.

Please note that due to the variety and breadth of the day’s content, all sessions will be recorded so that delegates will be able to access presentations that they were unable to attend live on the day. If you have any questions please do get in touch with the team via our general mailbox business.engagement@beis.gov.uk.
