Spring Clean Penrith

Penrith BID want to get Penrith looking ship shape. We’re thinking big; the town needs a spruce-up to get it ready for summer and we want to tackle the grubby looking bits!

That’s where we need your help. If you know of an area of town that could benefit from a bit of attention, please take a photo and send it to us. You can email admin@penrithbid.co.uk or DM @PenrithBID on Facebook. We need a picture of the area showing what needs attention. Let us know the exact location so we can send a workteam to the right place. If it’s a specific building you think needs attention that’s great but please let us know if you have permission to give consent for work to be carried out on the premises.

We don’t want to be prescriptive – if you see something that you think needs cleaning, washing, weeding, fixing, straightening, litter-picking – just get in touch and let us know. Obviously, we can’t carry out big infrastructure work (so sorry, the pavement will have to stay uneven for now) but we can tackle areas that need attention.

As an example, the alleyway between Little Dockray and Devonshire Street would definitely look better after a litter pick, weeding and pressure washing.

Send us your photos by Friday 25th March and we’ll prioritise the work and crack on! Oh, and if you’re not technologically minded, that’s fine too. Just send us a description of what needs doing, or speak to one of the directors.

Thanks to EDC for a ‘Welcome Back to Eden’ grant to carry out the work.
