Shop Local, Shop Penrith

From today (10 August) and running until 17 August, the Government is launching ‘Shop Local Week’. This is seven days of concentrated activity encouraging shoppers to return to their local high street and shop safely.

It’s really important to promote our shops and businesses, our brands and our location.  We are running a campaign to support this via Discover Penrith channels using the hashtags #ShopLocal and #ShopPenrith. We’ll be focusing on business types – we’ve got 3 independent bookshops, 3 independent florists, a fantastic range of gift shops and butchers, bakers and greengrocers to delight our local community.  Please join in, like and share posts and let me know if you’ve got a story you’d like me to share.

Attached is information on the National campaign from Cumbria LEP and Cumbria Tourism also have a toolkit in their Resource Hub https://www.cumbriatourism.org/who-we-are/resource-hub/recovery-hub/shop-local-week/
