New regulations coming into effect on 1st October 2023.

There is new legislation coming into effect on the 1st October with regards to Fire Regulations, particularly fire risk assessments and fire safety arrangements.

It’s important to highlight that a lot of smaller businesses are likely to be affected more by these changes. Where you previously may not have met the criteria requiring you to record your fire risk assessment, the new legislation requires ALL businesses to make this record along with other specified items.

You can contact the Protection department in Penrith on the email address Carlisle.technical@cumbriafire.gov.uk  for more information or even arrange a visit from a fire officer to discuss and advise with the transition.
