Lockdown 3.0

We are still awaiting the official Cabinet Office update.  In the meantime I know a number of you are wanting links and answers about Lockdown 3.0.

The information I have so far is as follows:

New National Lockdown guidance: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/national-lockdown-stay-at-home

Business Grant for lockdown: https://www.gov.uk/government/news/46-billion-in-new-lockdown-grants-to-support-businesses-and-protect-jobs

We will need to wait for details from EDC as to how this money will be distributed, but it is safe to say the process will be similar to previous occasions. Their most recent update is at https://www.eden.gov.uk/coronavirus-covid-19/support-for-businesses/

At this time please don’t call EDC about the grant. They are still waiting for the details from the government and until they have that information, they won’t be able to tell you anything. There are definite delays with information this time round, as we can tell by the fact that we’re still waiting for the cabinet office email.

Staying in Touch : A number of you have already confirmed your Click & Collect, Delivery or Essential Opening details.  I’ve split the page Penrith Covid-19 page into 3: Non Essentials / Takeaways / Essential. So, if you’re not on the list but would like to be, just let me know.  https://www.discoverpenrith.co.uk/penrithcovidupdate/

We’ll be promoting this link to encourage our community to shop local, so please let’s make sure the information is as up to date as possible.
