PLEASE NOTE THIS CONSULTATION HAS NOW CLOSED.

The LEP is collating information from Cumbrian businesses on future Immigration Policy and are going to prepare a response on behalf of the business sector and employers in Cumbria (please see their email below).? Replies should be made directly to the LEP

Dear Colleagues

As you may be aware, the government, via the Migration Advisory Committee, is consulting on the salary cap for work visas and the possible scope of a new Australian style immigration points system. Cumbria LEP is conscious of the difficult current situation faced by many businesses in respect of staff requirement and skills shortages. Therefore we will be preparing a response on behalf of the business sector and all employers in Cumbria. Here is a link to the consultation document which you may, if you have time, want to respond to in full.

However, in helping us prepare a collective response we would be very grateful if you could respond to the brief questions listed below in this email, if you have time, by Wednesday 16th October. The responses should take no longer than 10 minutes to complete; please send these to me by return of this email.
