Late Night Christmas Shopping: When?

String of street light decorations against a night sky

Late Night Christmas Shopping – what night of the week would you prefer? In 2020 we did Thursday, but a number of you said that was a bad night, so now’s your time to have your say.

Thinking ahead to the festive season, we’d like to encourage shops and businesses to stay open late, until 7pm, on selected shopping nights. This year we’ve been told to expect people shopping in person rather than online, and people are also wanting to support local businesses.

So, from 22nd November Penrith will be sparkling with Christmas lights. We’ve also been told that people will be shopping early this year (to avoid shortages on the shelves), so I suggest 3 weeks of late nights on the last two weeks in November and first in December.

If you reply with your preferred day of the week, I’m assuming that you would be willing to open your business!  If I have enough responses with interested businesses then I’ll get on and arrange the promotional side of things. Email admin@penrithbid.co.uk with your thoughts.
