Grants for Business: Update

 

I’ll keep this brief: EDC have updated their website with the text shown below. If you think you are eligible for a grant (please check the criteria first) but have not had an email from EDC, please email them directly at LRSG@eden.gov.uk

Tier 4 Restrictions (31 December to 4 January 2021)

Local Restrictions Support Grant (Closed)

  • Eligibility: For businesses in business rated properties, legally forced to close due to Tier 4 restrictions.
  • Grant Amounts: £667, £1,000 or £1,500 dependent on rateable value per 14-day period of restrictions. This will be a 5-day pro rata payment.
  • Grant Application Status: We have emailed eligible businesses for automatic payment.

National Lockdown (5 January 2021 until at least February half-term)

Local Restrictions Support Grant (Closed)

  • Eligibility: For businesses in business rated properties, legally forced to close due to national restrictions.
  • Grant amounts: £667, £1,000 or £1,500 dependent on the rateable value of the property per 14-day period of restrictions. Businesses will receive a 42 day (6 week) payment initially which will be £2,001, £3,000 or £4,500 dependent on rateable value.
  • Grant Application Status: We have emailed eligible businesses for automatic payment.

Retail Leisure and Hospitality – one off grants

  • Eligibility: For businesses in business rated properties, legally forced to close due to national restrictions.
  • Grant Amounts: A one off payment of £4,000, £6,000 or £9,000 dependent on the rateable value of the property.
  • Grant Application Status: We have emailed eligible businesses for automatic payment.

 Additional Restrictions Grant

  • Eligibility: For businesses severely impacted by the current National Lockdown, but not eligible for the above schemes.
  • Grant Amounts: This will be confirmed in our policy once published.
  • Grant Application Status: More information to follow soon. A policy detailing eligibility and an application form will be made available on this page before the end of January.
