Electricity North West – Storm Isha and Jocelyn

Please find below important information sent to us by Electricity North West.

Following yesterday’s email I wanted to give you a further update on the impact of Storms Isha and Jocelyn. As of 9am today we have restored power to 92,675 since Sunday night but the high winds and heavy rain overnight have caused more damage and there are around 1,100 customers who remain without power, mostly in North Cumbria.

We currently have hundreds of engineers working across the whole region to restore power as soon as possible and we also have teams out door knocking in the areas that have been off supply the longest, or where we know there are vulnerable residents, to check on customers’ welfare. We also have food vans serving hot food and drinks at the locations listed below:

Please share the details of the current catering outlets with your networks for affected customers. These will be updated throughout the day on our dedicated Storm Isha and Jocelyn webpage where customers can also check the expected restoration time for their postcode areas.

We’ll continue to keep you up to date as things progress but If you need anything in the next few days, please contact us at

Kind Regards,

Electricity North West
