Easing of Restrictions: Comms with Customers

As part of our Town Centre Recover Planning and the easing of lockdown restrictions it is critical that we provide factual, reliable and honest communication to our community.  We need to make sure customers feel well informed about what is happening in town, and how social distancing restrictions may impact on any trip they make into the town centre.  Penrith BID are working with other stakeholders in town to help with this ‘restart’ communication.

We need your help. If you are planning to reopen your business if lockdown restrictions are eased (or if you are already open and trading), please send us details of when you are intending to reopening your business, and what safety measures you will be putting in place.

Please take the time to complete and return the attached information document to us.

We will then collate a full list of businesses and shops in Penrith, which will be displayed to the general public online, on social media with links in the Herald, as well as being available from the Eden District Council customer service team.  It is vital that we get this communication right, to ensure the easing of lockdown restrictions is successful and safe.

Apologies if you have already been sent this template from another source. Penrith BID are working with other stakeholders in town, such as Penrith Chamber and the councils, to try and make sure we reach as wide a business audience as possible.

Obviously, we are aware that there is a great deal of scenario planning going on at the moment. Plans will change.  Please keep us updated with any changes you make as restrictions are eased so we can make sure we are providing acute information to your customers.

To ensure your information is available in the first release please return this document to admin@penrithbid.co.uk by Thursday 28th May at 12 noon latest.
